Commissioned pet portraits


I would love to create an oil painting of your pet! The time to complete a painting varies depending on its size and my current queue, usually 2-4 months.

I work from the photos you provide. We'll select one main photo as a reference, but the more photos you can send, the better I can get to know your pet's personality and features. Different lighting can make fur and eyes appear slightly different in color, so additional photos help me capture your loved one accurately.

 

Photography tips


The best photos are usually taken at your pet's eye level.

Good lighting generally results in a sharper photo with more clearly visible details. Great results are often achieved outdoors or near a window. However, avoid very strong direct sunlight, as it can create overly harsh contrasts. 


If you don't want a collar included in the painting, it's best to remove it before taking the photo.


Prices


Prices are for one animal, another animal in the same image +20%.

Prices include framing (except for 50x70cm size) and worldwide shipping.

Importing art from Finland is duty-free to at least the USA and the EU. To avoid surprises, please check local regulations for other regions.

What to expect


When you place an order, I'll provide an estimated completion date for your painting. Before starting to paint, I will create a digital design of the composition and color scheme based on your wishes. 

Once you approve the plan, a 50% deposit is paid. You are welcome to request adjustments, both during the design stage and on the finished artwork - I want you to be completely happy with the result.

Once the painting is complete, it's time to choose the frame. I'll send you a PDF showing the artwork displayed in a variety of frames, so you can select the one that feels just right.

After the painting has dried, been varnished, and final payment has been received (via Wise or PayPal), it will be carefully packaged and sent to its new home.
